Well, Bernard Okuta attended and completed his studies here in Nairobi where he graduated in 2013 with a degree in education.
When asked to comment on the murder, he said he could not say a thing because it was a very emotive issue for him.
He instead directed the media to his family spokesperson.
“This matter is too emotive for me to comment. If I wanted to comment about it, I would have done so long ago. I would rather leave the matter to the police and other investigators to find out what happened. That is all I can say,” Mr Okuta said.
“What the spokesperson of the family said about the family of the deceased is enough. I will not say anything. Please go and talk to the police for more information,” he added.
By the time they were married, Okuta had long before relocated from Nairobi.
It is understood that the two were living together at the school where Okuta taught and that they separated only last year.
Okuta comes from Kamagambo in Rongo and is currently employed as a teacher.
