Members of the clergy from Bonchari constituency in Kisii County have disowned area MP John Oyioka retrogressive politics.
The clergy led by New Beginning Apostolic church pastor Lawrence Nyaruga stated the Mr. Oyioka should stop engaging in barbaric politics.
"We are appealing to Mr. Oyioka to consider seeking public participation any time he is coming up with a development proposal. Bonchari residents deserve development and not the ongoing political wrangles we are experiencing," said Nyaruga.

Mr. Nyaruga suggested that the lawmaker should call public barazas so that residents across the constituency can give their priorities in development.
He insisted that clergy members will not side with any leader from the constituency engaging in divisive and hatred politics.
"No member of the clergy is willing to dine with selfish leaders with intentions to fill their own stomachs while the electorates are suffering in deep villages. Oyioka should work for Bonchari people without discriminating regions where he didn't get votes during the August 8, 2017 polls," he added.
The pastor challenged constituents to keep off divisive politicians who are out to incite them to fight one another with an aim seeking political mileage.
