The wheels of the plane carrying the First Lady of the United States of America Melania Trump kissed the runway of the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) Thursday night.

Melania was received by First Lady Margaret Kenyatta and Ambassador Robert Godec.

This marks the first visit by the US first lady to Kenya and is aimed at championing the causes of child protection, women, and education.

Her visit will last for two days and it comes on the heels of a visit to Ghana.

In the course of her stay in the country, she is expected to hold talks with President Uhuru Kenyatta.
