President Uhuru Kenyatta’s social media hatchet Dennis Itumbi was on the receiving end Saturday night.
Itumbi became the butt of jokes as the internet was awash with citizen TV’s Jacque Maribe’s photos getting cosy with another man.
Maribe on Saturday said ‘Yes’ as the man, only identified as Jowi, went down on his knee.
Clad in casual jeans, a band playing and rose flowers painting the hotel’s floor, Maribe gushed and opened her heart to the hunk dude!
Netizens have long associated Dennis Itumbi to the bubbly tv girl after a previous photo of the two kissing passionately surfaced online.
At one time, Itumbi surprised the sultry reporter-cum-news anchor with a birthday cake live on air.
It is not clear what happened though Itumbi insisted that the two were just ‘good friends’, whatever that means!
Here is what netizens said:
“Someone to tell Dennis Itumbi that a man who hangs around a beautiful girl without saying a word ends up fetching water for guests at her wedding, African proverb,” Mercy Ndegwa posted.
“Itumbi na Argentina out?” Ichangai Njoroge posted
“Haiya Itumbi ? Tuseme yeye na team ya Germany wako inje ya kinyanganyiro,”Tony Kinus
“Hebu kwanza niambiwe kama Itumbi ameconcede defeat,” Njeri Mwangi
Itumbi who is fond of congratulating Maribe everytime makes a move is yet to say a word about the development.
The silence made one fan wonder whether Itumbi might be nursing heartbreak deeply but wearing a brave face.
A quick scan of Itumbi’s Facebook page showed the former KIMC student might have landed some lasses to help him ‘heal’ if for sure he was injured in the battle for JM.
According to a Nakuru-based counselor, Fidelis Kigo, any man or woman feels some sort of loss the moment his/her friend is taken away.
“There is some sort of inner loss because you deeply know that that is now someone’s territory,” Kigo said.
