Hundreds of locals flocked at the Huduma Namba registration centres within Uasin Gishu County in a bid to beat the May 18th deadline.
As tradition has always had, Kenyans are fond of doing things in the last minutes. The huduma center Eldoret station was full of people as early as 6am.
“I have come here at 7am and hope I will manage to be served before the day elapses," said Annet Jebii, a salonist who was queing at the huduma center Eldoret.
Most of the wananchi who looked exhausted seemed worried about beating the deadline.
Harrison Kimani, who is among the registration staff at Maranatha church, Kipkaren estate centre told this writer that the turn up has been so immense.
“Today the turn up is absolutely okay because during the other days, people normally come in bits especially in the early morning and evening hours ," he noted.
The situation was the same at the pioneer estate center at the crafts college with hundreds of people scrambling for space on the heavily populated lines.
It clearly emerged that many locals are ready and wiling to take Huduma number but the deadline is too close for them to beat it.
That is partly due to the fact that the time taken for one person to be fully served is too long to serve all the people on lines before the end of the day.
It was confirmed that there were long lines across Soy, Turbo, Kesses, Kapseret, Moiben and Ainabkoi sub counties.
