West Mugirango MP Vincent Kemosi has revealed his plans to eradicate poverty from his constituency.
The vocal lawmaker said he will push parents in the constituency to take their children to school.
"Poverty will be eradicated from the constituency through education. I'm going to push parents to take their children to school so that we can have more learned people in future to occupy government offices," he said.
According to the NASA allied MP, parents whose children failed to go to school are the ones worst hit by poverty.
He vowed to issue CDF bursaries to all current students in secondary schools, colleges and universities.
"As an MP I will help parents pay part of the fees by issuing CDF funds. All I want is to have children from the region in school all through. It is through education we will get nurses, police officers, engineers, journalists among other professionals," he added.
Kemosi challenged locals who might have ventured into witchcraft to stop arguing that witchcraft is the main reason the levels of education in the constituency are low.
