Addressing Nyamira residents in Nyamira South Sub County during Mashujaa Day celebrations, Nakoru said those engaging in the vice will be apprehended by police.

"Chang'aa brew was banned by the government but I am aware there are some few individuals in this county who are still brewing and selling the same. Anyway way let me warn you that you days are numbered because soon enough you will face the full force of the law," he said, just a week after his boss Fred Matiang'i warned chiefs of dire consequences.

He further warned chiefs whose areas of jurisdiction are still recording cases of illicit brewing of Chang'aa and Kangara.

"We have been telling our chiefs to help us in the fight against chang'aa  brewing and that time has now gone and the only thing remaining is to sack the lazy ones."

At Menyenya and Nyamira Township, Matiang'i warned lazy chiefs of impending sack, adding that cases of illicit brew had escalated in the region.
