Embattled Citizen TV journalist Jacque Maribe has revealed through a sworn affidavit that lead investigator Chief Inspector Maxwell Otieno planted a spy in her cell at Gigiri Police Station to investigate her.
In the affidavit, Maribe narrates how a Mr Kennedy Kenneth Omondi (K.K Omondi) got into her female cell where no male detainees were allowed.
“I suspect K.K. Omondi was planted by C. Insp. M. Otieno…to investigate and extract information. He probably thought I had something I was holding back whilst in fact I had disclosed everything,” she said.
A lot of things about K.K Omondi weren’t right, she says.
She states that he was the only male detainee allowed free movement and interaction with female detainees.
More so, Maribe claimed that K.K Omondi had his phone, had both shoes on and also had packed food from Java Restaurant, all of which were unlawful.
She also says that he even went ahead offering his food to her but she turned down the offer.
“I was advised by other detainees and security personnel to be careful with him in view of his interest in my situation,” she said.
K.K Omondi revealed that he lives in Kilimani, a few meters from Kibera and that he knows where Maribe lives.
According to Maribe, K.K Omondi operates in the same station as the lead investigator Chief Inspector Maxwell Otieno.
