Police in Malindi are trying to unmask a man who reportedly lured two schoolgirls aged 17 years from Ngarariga, Limuru to Malindi.
The man, only identified as Kamau, is said to have handed the two girls Sh8000 to travel to Malindi where he would connect them with loaded white men.
According to police, the man had promised to wait for the two at Malindi bus stage.
However, when they arrived in Malindi they failed to locate Kamau and ended up loitering around.
In the evening, the girls’ met another man who heard their misery and took them to his house.
They were later arrested by area OCPD after their parents recorded missing persons report at Tigoni police station indicating the two had left for Mombasa.
Investigators said the two girls have no connection to terrorist acts and could possibly have been targets of children prostitution.
They were on Thursday reunited with their parents who traveled to Malindi to pick them.
Police said they are doing everything to arrest Kamau.
