For the first time in as many months, DP William Ruto openly confronted an ODM politician over development despite being unethical in government setups and constitutionalism.
At a rally in Endebes, Ruto warned that government will not develop Saboti constituency due to MP Caleb Amisi's strong ties with opposition leader Raila Odinga.
"The government will from next month set up three technical training colleges in Kiminini, Endebess and Cherangany.
"I have also asked Kwanza to look for a piece of land where we will build a college but in Saboti. Unless the area MP stops the ‘Tibiim' and ‘Tialala' politics he will have to sort himself out,” Ruto told the rally.
Apparently, Ruto's remarks comes at the time when Raila has since reconciled with President Uhuru Kenyatta for months now.
In a rejoinder, Amisi termed Ruto's comments misplaced adding that he won't be 'forced to join Tanga Tanga'.
"The era for individuals purporting to bring development to people is over. We have laws that govern resources decentralisation and I won't bow."
Ironically, Uhuru suspended launching of new projects until completion of old one despite the DP's continued tours.
A section of ODM stalwarts have accused Ruto of playing old old-fashioned politics with development.
"He better changes his mentality and stops harassing elected leaders. We know how the government works or how it should operate," said Philip Etale.
