Fatuma Hirsi's sacking raised more questions than answers as President Uhuru Kenyatta showed her the door for the second time in a year.

Hirsi was among senior government official comprising of a Cabinet Secretary who faced Friday's axe.

She was sacked on June last year after heading Tourism State Department for a while before her reinstatement as Broadcasting and Telecommunication PS.

In an executive order No.3 of 2019, President Uhuru Kenyatta said Hirsi will no longer serve in her capacity as the Broadcast PS.

"In accordance with Article 155 of the Constitution, the appointment of Mrs.Fatuma Hirso, as a Principal Secretary has been vacated,” the President said.

Before her entry to Public service, Hirsi has worked as a Corporate Affairs Manager at blue-chip companies such as Nation Media Group and Gulf African Bank.
