People have devised some tricks to survive in Kenya by producing fake certificates. Identifying one is not that easy because they have the same features.
However, there are different tricks one especially employers can employ to spot a fake certificate,
1. Look for watermarks
Original certificates have watermarks of the respective companies embedded on them to indicate that they are genuine.
Like in the case of the KSCE certificates, they have been embedded with the KNEC ( Kenya National Examination Council) watermark. To confirm this, try holding the certificate against the light. If the watermarks are not visible, then it is a fake certificate.
2. Look for embossed seal
Nowadays, fake certificates have embossed seals making it difficult for many employers to tell whether the certificate is real or fake. The real certificate should have a shiny gold embossed seal. If it lacks the gold seal or no seal at all, then it is a fake.
3. Confirm if the signature is real
A genuine signature should be in actual ink and not digitally printed. Look the indents on the certificate and trailing edges. Be keen when looking at the edges, they should not end abruptly.
4. Look for spelling errors
This trick can also help you when you need to confirm the realness of KSCE certificate. Inspect the entire document for spelling stumbles.
