The baby was born when Margaret visited the newly commissioned Makueni Women and Children Hospital in Wote on Thursday.

She adopted the First Lady's first name Margaret.

Margaret Mumbua was among the children born in the 120 bed capacity health facility during its commissioning presided over by the First Lady.

"I feel so happy to have these services. Thank you mama Margaret for being in the front line to help mothers and children through your 'Beyond Zero Campaigns'. I will name my baby Margaret as a sign of my appreciation and to keep remembering you. I also thank our governor for helping and giving us these services," Mumbua's mother said.

The First Lady visited several mothers and children after officially commissioning the hospital.

She expressed her happiness and gratitudes to the Makueni County Government for such a great achievement.

"This is what Kenyans want and not politics all the time. Beyong Zero Campaigns encourages this, leaders should work with their people's interests at heart," Margaret said.

Kivutha said the new hospital is the first in the country to offer aqua services.

He said his government constructed the facility for four years without external funding.
