Kenyans on social media have expressed their thoughts concerning President Uhuru Kenyatta's remarks after his younger brother was implicated in sugar scandal.

Speaking at an economic summit organised by the American Chamber of Commerce at the UN complex in Gigiri, Nairobi, on Thursday, the head of state said if his brother broke the law he should not be spared.

"People are out there bundling my brother yesterday... I have no problem. If he is guilty let him be dealt with, what's the problem?" the President said.

Muhoho Kenyatta was accused of being among those licensed to import sugar after a report was tabled before Parliament.P Protech Investments Company, a firm whose Muhoho Kenyatta listed as a director was mentioned having sugar import permits.

Agriculture CS Mwangi Kiunjuri however on Wednesday denied the claims. Kiunjuri accused those behind the claims of politicking the matter which had taken a national interest after the contraband sugar was reported to be harmful as contained traces of mercury and lead. 

Kenyans took on social media where they expressed mixed reactions over President Kenyatta's tough remarks on corruption.A section Kenyans thought that the head of state had taken war on corruption a notch higher by declaring that not even his brother Muhoho Kenyatta is above the law.Other Kenyans expressed doubts with Kenyatta's remarks.Here are a sample of reactions on Twitter;
