The politician revealed the details of the course through his official Twitter account.

It is evident that the politician, who has been very vocal on matters of national interest, is happy following the daughter’s exemplary performance in the last year's Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE).

He posted her photo and captioned: “My family is in the joy en pleasure of celebrating the admission of our dota, Linda Shipeng Khalwale to the School of Engineering of the University of Nairobi. My special thanx to God, my wives & teachers of Alliance Firls High School. Murioo munoo!” (sic).

Nearly 90,000 students who sat for KCSE examination in 2018 will join public and private universities on the government-sponsored programme.

Education Cabinet Secretary Prof George Magoha has asked universities not to offer noncompetitive courses.

He said that he is consulting the Commission for University Education to ensure these courses are scrapped off with immediate effect.

"The Commission for University Education must conduct a thorough analysis of these courses, including a review and scrapping of such programmes," said Prof Magoha, as quoted by Daily Nation.
