Residents from across the six sub-counties in Mombasa County on Thursday gave their views regarding the draft Mombasa County Fiscal Strategy Paper (CFSP) 2019/2020 at Tononoka Social Hall.
The 2019 Mombasa County Fiscal Strategy Paper, identifies the broad strategic priorities and policy goals that will guide the County Government in preparing its budget for Financial Year (FY) 2019/2020 and the Medium Term in accordance with the Public Finance Management Act 2012, section 117.
The critical programmes to be implemented are expected to stimulate the County’s socio-economic development.

The key County proposed priority areas are;
- Increased accessibility to water and food security
- Improved health services
- Streamlined waste management services
- Provision of Quality Education, Gender empowerment, Youth and Sports development
- Improved Land and Housing Services.
- Investing in infrastructure development.
Led by County Executive for Finance and Economic Planning Maryam Mbaruk together with County Secretary Francis Thoya, County Chief Officers and directors from across the County departments held a refine meeting which was spearheaded by the Department of Finance and Economic Planning, over the paper.
