Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has told the Kamba community that his working with President Uhuru Kenyatta’s government is for the community's good.
Kalonzo said the Ukambani residents stand to gain in terms of development from his working with the Jubilee government.
According to Kalonzo, his decision to work with President Kenyatta is not for his personal benefit but for the Kamba community.
Speaking at Mwingi Level 4 Hospital on Wednesday when he launched the Kalonzo Musyoka Foundation's free medical camp, Kalonzo said he does not regret pledging to work with the president.
“You are the people who stand to gain from my relationship with the Jubilee government and especially the president,” Kalonzo said.
Kalonzo dismissed claims that he demeaned himself by asking to be President Kenyatta’s errand boy.
The former Vice President said working with Kenyatta is not bad.
He wondered why politicians were criticizing him for asking to be the president’s errand boy.
“Elected leaders must stop discussing petty issues and concentrate on serving their electorates,” he said.
Kalonzo has been under criticism after he asked to be Kenyatta’s errand boy.
Kalonzo is among the top politicians eyeing to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta in the 2022 presidential election.
