Manga OCPD Samuel Kosgei said it was worrying that several young girls in the area are dropping school to engage in the illicit sex trade.

Kosgei vowed that he will do everything possible to end the illegal business.

"Girls should stop taking shortcuts in life. Those engaging in sex trade should either go back to school or relocate because I won't condone them in my area of administration," he said.

The OCPD warned parents against boycotting their parental responsibilities to ensure their children more especially girls complete school.

"The government is giving free education to children. Parents should ensure their children are enrolled to various schools to better their lives. Any girl who drops school at a tender to venture into sex trade should be reported to authorities for legal actions to be taken," he stated.

He appealed to residents to stop hiring school girls as house helps adding that anyone found employing a young girl who has dropped school will be nabbed and taken to court.
