Gor Mahia FC on Wednesday saw off a stubborn Big Bullets of Malawi in a continental tie staged at the Moi Sports Centre Kasarani, boosting their hopes of qualifying for the group stages.
The win, courtesy of a 94th-minute goal from Gor's Ondiek gave the hosts a slim advantage going into the second leg, which is scheduled for next month in Blantyre.
The match attracted fans from not only in Kenya and Malawi but also in South Africa.
Fans of Pirate FC, who might face Gor in the next round if they advance, joined other fans on Gor Mahia's Facebook page, warning the Kenyan champions that their next fixture might be tougher.
