Last week after meeting Kisii High Court presiding Judge Rose Ougo in his office, the county boss offered to give an alternative piece of Land for the relocation.

In a heated debate on local social media platforms, residents accused Ongwae of attempting to relocate the courts without public participation.

"Let the Court remain within Ogembo for easy accessibility. Etago roads are impassable. Those roads are in horrible condition," wrote Manani Omune.

"Etago is in a different Sub County. Why? What made him decide moving the law court to Etago? That is hooliganism and won't be tolerated," Josephat Ouru added.

"Ritongo Ogembo is historical. The town is historically known as Ritongo meaning the African traditional Court which was set there during colonial period. Did Governor Ongwae do any public consultation and sensitization? asked Joel Makori.

They have now asked Ongwae to come out clear and explain to residents through public forums why he wants the courts relocated.

"Let the governor come out clear and tell us why he should relocate the courts. We have the constitution that guides such processes," he said.
