A road accident in Nandi County has claimed six lives.

The accident occurred on Saturday along the Kapsabet - Chemelil road in the county.

The incident has been confirmed Nandi Couty police commander Patrick Wambani. 

Reports indicate that the incident occurred after the matatu breaks failed.
