He said Gusii professionals contributed the money and asked him to donate to the church.
Matiang'i also announced that through Gusii professionals' 20,000 bricks will be given to the church.
The super cabinet secretary asked all people of goodwill to support the church in evangelism citing that all human beings are destined for eternal life in heaven.
"Any worldly treasures should not deter us from attending to church activities and spreading the word of God," noted Matiang'i.
He promised to hire two buses ferry members of the SDA church in Nyamira and South Nyanza conference slated for next week.
Matiang'i challenged local politicians to keep off politics from local churches saying the church is meant for worship.
"It is shameful that some politicians have gone further taking politics to churches instead of prayers. Members of the clergy should not condone politics in the church," stated Matiang'i.
He confirmed that corruption must come to an end because tax payer's money is meant for development.
