Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria, in a jibe directed to the Head of State, sensationally claimed that the region had been marginalised by successive governments in the past.

"I want to tell you that this politics of being used as voting machines must stop. We can't vote and thereafter development is taken elsewhere. This is unfair," Kuria said last week.

So divisive have been his remarks that a number of leaders have openly remained divided over them, with some accusing Kuria of disrespecting the Head of State.

And in Mombasa on Monday, Uhuru insisted that he's a president of the entire nation, adding that those who are opposed with his governance are 'stupid'.

"I will continue traversing this nation to initiate development. From Moyale to Namanga, Kisumu to Mombasa. This politics of saying that because you come from somewhere you must take development there is outdated.

"I am president to all and I will work indiscriminately. Those criticising me are stupid and I cannot be blackmailed. We must develop all regions without prejudices," he said.

In an exclusive interview with Citizen TV, Kuria claimed that he was misquoted, insisting that he was against Kiambu leadership which called the president to issue certificates to drunkards who had been rehabilitated.

And during the interview, he also asked for forgiveness from the president but maintained that Central Kenya has been neglected.
