Wajir Woman Rep Fatuma Gedi registered for Huduma Namba Sunday, giving the ongoing registration exercise a clean bill of health.
She made the revelation on her Facebook page Sunday night, and went on to encourage her constituents to register.
Gedi hailed Huduma Namba as crucial in ensuring that the government provides services to citizens in a streamlined manner.
"Huduma Namba is a very vital tool for the government to use in national planning, social services, resource allocation and project infrastructure. It is meant to utilise integrated data systems to enhance quality, efficient and effective service delivery to not only Kenyans but also foreigners.
"The service shall reassemble civil registration and inform national planning to improve national security and strengthen accountability. Most importantly, it will also bolster transparency in management of government services.
" Joined and encouraged residents to register for the service at Wajir town, Wajir County," she posted.
The legislator now joins the growing ranks of politicians who have already registered for Huduma Namba.
Huduma Namba has been subject to controversy with its critics seeing it as a wastage of resources.
Kenyans across the country have been flocking to registration stations as the deadline for registration closes in.
President Uhuru Kenyatta and veteran opposition leader Raila Odinga registered in a bid to convince their supporters to do the same.
