The County Government of Mombasa will on Saturday, September 14, participate in the International World Clean-up Day.
Environment Cabinet Secretary Keriako Tobiko will lead the celebrations at the historic Mama Ngina Drive after thorough beach 🌊🌴 and mainland clean-up activities.
Already, pre-world clean-up activities have been taking place in all the six Sub-counties in the County including; Nyali, Kisauni, Jomvu, Changamwe, Mvita and Likoni ahead of the weekend celebrations.
On Wednesday, the Mombasa County department of Environment, Waste Management and Energy have been working hand in hand with the Sub County Administration and other partners conducted clean up exercises at Majengo market in Mvita Sub-county and Timbwani in Likoni Sub-county.
Mombasa residents have been urged to take a broad step and ensure responsibility in maintaining cleanliness in their respective areas.
