Nairobi politician Weston Wanjohi has called for the creation of the prime minister position to allow President Uhuru Kenyatta to remain in power after his term ends in 2022.
In a Facebook post on Tuesday, the former Roysambu parliamentary hopeful said Uhuru should be handed another term to save Kenya from corruption.
He further argued that the Head of State is in a better position to fight graft as he is clean and not hungry for public land and inflated government tenders.
"To save Kenya we must reward Uhuru with another term," said Wanjohi.
He also hit out at Deputy President William Ruto, claiming that the DP is not fit to occupy State House, despite supporting Uhuru's presidential bid in the last two elections.
"Uhuru Kenyatta is not a hungry hustler with a big appetite for over inflated huge government contracts, stolen government land or tainted and therefore better placed to fight graft," he said.
"Let us not risk handing over Kenya to the hyena as much as he/she looks and smells like sheep. A hyena will always remain hyena and must be avoided even if it assists you in fighting the leopard two times. Let us amend the constitution to introduce the position of prime minister and reward President Uhuru Kenyatta with another term to continue the fight against graft," added Wanjohi.
