It is a major boost for Kisii County after foreign investors from Israeli agreed to partner with the county government.
According to Kisii County Deputy Governor Joash Maangi, the investors from Israel agreed to enter into a partnership in the health and agricultural sectors.
"I met the Israeli groups who are from Green Arava led by their chairman Yariv Kedar, Elsmed Healthcare Solutions led by Founder Gidi Bareket and Wycliffe Omondi from Negev to discuss on the possible areas of partnership. It was agreed that the investors will support the county government in the health and agricultural sectors," said Maangi.
The county second in command assured that the county government is ready to work with all stakeholders with the purpose of development.
Maangi challenged Kisii residents who have invested outside the county to consider setting up businesses in the home county.
"Jobless youths will get jobs if Kisii residents who have invested far from the county sets up businesses in Kisii County. Local and foreign investors are free to set businesses in the county since the environment is conducive," he noted.
