Residents of Ogango village in Borabu, have protested over increased insecurity in the area.
According to locals, Interior CS Fred Matiang'i should transfer police officers in the region for incompetence.
"Insecurity is on the rise in the area. We are forced to be awake the whole night guarding cowsheds just because of cattle rustling.
"Matiang'i should move with speed and deploy new officers to help us in flushing out criminals stealing livestock," said John Orenge.
Maurice Barongo claimed that Matiang'i has become lazy.
"Matiang'i when serving as the Education Cabinet Secretary was committed to end exam irregularities but we are not seeing such zeal in security," he said.
Jeremiah Okindo said police officers are good at harassing innocent locals but, poor in fighting criminals.
"The current security officers serving in the area are lazy and good at harassing locals but, poor in flushing out criminals stealing livestock from the region," he noted.
