Flamboyant businessman cum politician says he was overwhelmed to see his ageing father 'safe and sound' when he first saw him after five years.
With thousands of his supporters from both Nyamira and Kisii Counties gathering at Rikenye home, Bosco could not control years down his chicks when he first hugged Mzee Gichana.
"I hear he has been asking about my whereabouts all along. He was troubled and had become weak and worn out.
"Seeing him strong when I came made me cry. He's a pillar to our family and I was happy to see him again," said Mr. Gichana.
In a ceremony that was attended by former Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka, Bosco was ordained as Abagusii elder, an occasion which automatically boosts his political bid.
At Gusii stadium, he launched scathing attacks on Gusii leaders, who he accused of snubbing him while languishing in a Tanzania prison where he pleaded guilty to money laundering and fraud charges.
"They like politicising everything. No wonder none of them came to see me. I am now keen to unite Abagusii across the country," he said.
