President Uhuru Kenyatta reportedly held a closed door meeting with former President Daniel Moi and Baringo Senator Gideon Moi on Saturday morning.
The 3-hour meeting reportedly took place at Kabarak where the Head of State consulted about Mau Forest evictions according to KANU Youth Leader Ronoh Kipchumba.
"I can assure you that the early bird catches the warm. The president was in Kabarak early morning.
"He briefed the former president on handshake and ongoing Mau evictions," he said.
However, neither of the leaders have made details of their meeting public.
The president was on his way to Rongai where he is scheduled to attend funeral service to the wife of former Deputy Chief of Defence Forces Lt. General Joseph Kasaon.
Conspicuously, the meeting comes three months after oppostion leader Raila Odinga paid a courtesy call to Moi after the handshake.
Early this week, Senator Gideon Moi openly opposed the ongoing evictions at Mau.
The meeting could send yet another signal in Kenya's complicated political matrix given that Uhuru could be balancing on how to work with his DP William Ruto.
