A police officer who was allegedly shot by his colleague at a road in Gilgil along the Nakuru-Nairobi highway has died.

The incident happened on Sunday evening.

Police sources said the officer was accidentally shot by a colleague at Gilgil roadblock.

After the incident, he was taken for treatment at a Nairobi hospital where he succumbed.
