The DP on Sunday linked the Raila Odinga-led team to the saga pitting local dealers and the Dubai royal family, remarks the National Assembly Minority Leader has termed shameful.

He revealed that actually, Ruto's name has featured in most fraud deals in the country, and therefore lacks the moral authority to implicate any fellow politician in such deals.

In a tweet addressed to Senate Majority Leader and Ruto ally Kipchumba Murkomen, Junet sought answers on why the DP is now seemingly maximizing on the issue for political mileage.

"Kipchumba Murkomen, a little ‘googling’ will tell you conmen have used DP Ruto’s name to con hardworking Kenyan businessmen more than they’ve used any other leader’s name. When it happened, we didn’t go to rallies to malign the DP’s name. Why is he doing it? No shame?" he wrote.

This follows reports that Raila and President Uhuru Kenyatta have since met the royal family to ease the stalemate after the buyers reportedly sent in their protest letter.

Also dragged into the Sh400 million controversial deal are the names of Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula and Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang'i.
