President Uhuru Kenyatta has asked the new Education Cabinet Secretary George Magoha to serve the people of Kenya with diligence and determination following his new appointment.
Speaking at State House on Tuesday, Uhuru expressed his confidence in Magoha citing that is the right man for the job and went ahead to request the CS to deal with the challenges in the education sector for better performance in schools.
He said that the CS Magoha has a lot to do as he seeks to leave behind a legacy upon completing his term in office.
Uhuru also said that he is looking forward to working with the new Education CS in transforming the education sector before he completes his second and final term in office.
Commending the new Education CS for his appointment, President Kenyatta said he looks forward to working with him and other stakeholders in implementing the new curriculum and ensuring the country achieves 100% transition from primary to secondary schools.
“You are not coming into a new field. You are very familiar with it and I am really counting on you to support and help us to deliver to the people of Kenya especially this issues of 100% transition. Ensure you manage the resources that we have in a proper and good manner,” he said
Quality education has been part of jubilee's agendas.
