Whoever framed the old adage, "Little men are fond of long titles", must have had three vocal Central Kenya politicians in mind.

Is there a story unfolding in your community? Let Hivisasa know

This is because the three, despite wading little or zero influence over the region's politics, have decided to appoint themselves as Kikuyus spokesmen and kingpins.

As we talk, the three loudmouths are already purporting to dictate the direction the community will take politically come 2022.

If this is not a case of where boys get drunk in a feast even before the elders can arrive, then I do not know what to term it.

President Uhuru Kenyatta who is the region's de facto kingpin is still tight-lipped about this particular topic after he opted and told this ilk of politicians it is not yet time for such 'useless' debates and that he will lead the region to cross the bridge on reaching the river.

Apparently, the three self-appointed spokesmen did not hear him or they just decided to ignore him in entirety.

Below we enumerate the three politicians whose political balderdash ought to be dismissed with contempt because as they are, they don't and can't speak for the region.

1. Maina Kamanda

He is the former longtime Starehe MP and a currently Jubilee Party Nominated Member of National Assembly.

Kamanda who claims his roots from Nyandarua County has been leading the 'Kieleweke' team, an amorphous group widely made of political rejects and has been in a charged offensive to de-campaign against DP William Ruto's 2022 presidential bid.

"Who said we owe any debts to anyone? We do not owe anybody anything and come 2022 we will vote for whoever we want to," Kamanda said on Sunday during a rally in Nyeri Town.

Kamanda holds no political constituency currently, therefore, when he talks of 'we...blah..blah', one can only assume that he is talking for his family and kins.

2. David Murathe

He was rejected in 2002 by Gatanga constituency voters after serving for one term. Since then, he was in political obscurity till he made a comeback to the national limelight as Jubilee Vice-Chairman where he left controversially early this year.

As he left the party, he vowed to join other 'like-minded' politicians in ensuring that Ruto is constitutionally barred from vying for the presidency in 2022. Who does that? And in whose interest is he doing it?

3. Ferdinand Waititu

He is the Kiambu Governor and a well-known political sycophant who sways to the direction the wind is headed to.

Unfortunately, he has been on the forefront in assuring Ruto on every available opportunity that he has total Central Kenya's support come 2022.

Well, he is not like the two above being an elected governor of a populous county, but he has no real political influence even over Kiambu voters when it comes to the top seat.

As such, he should equally be ignored and dismissed like the rest.
