Speaking during a panel discussion on K24 Television, the Ndaragwa legislator held the view that the controversial lawyer was not worth the publicity and attention that was being given to him. Kioni urged that the country focuses on issues of great national importance.

"I would not want to say anything about Miguna because he is not worth the airtime that we have because he is just drama drama... And like the young man said I wish we were discussing about jobs, " the Ndaragwa legislator said. (5:56-6:15)

His intervention came as Miguna remains stranded at a German airport, fighting for what he says is his right to return to the country after being away for 2 years.

The Canadian-based lawyer was ejected from an Air France plane after he had boarded. A court of law has issued the government with an order to ensure that Miguna is allowed back into the country.

He was forcefully deported to Canada after a days-long standoff with immigration authorities.

The Kenyan government through the immigration department had said that it would comply with a court order on Miguna's return but is yet to make good on that promise.
