Controversial Nairobi City lawyer Donald Kipkorir has mocked Kenyans over their religious beliefs while preying on corruption.
Kiporir observed that Kenyans indulge in all manner of vices from Monday to Saturday and pretend to be so religious on Sunday.
In a tweet, the prominent lawyer suggested that "Kenyans must be thinking God is a Kenyan who is flattered and corrupted".
"Kenya is 90% Christian ..... From Monday to Saturday, we abuse, denigrate, deligitimize, steal, kill ..... Then on Sunday, we go to Church, sing Hallelujah, give Testimonies of God’s Grace, pay tithes ... Kenyans must be thinking God is a Kenyan who is flattered & corrupted (sic), " tweeted Kipkorir.
The tweet comes at a time the nation is experiencing a renewed corruption purge that has sparked a political debate with a section of politicians allied to Deputy President William Ruto claiming it's targeting the Kalenjin community.
President Uhuru Kenyatta and other agencies involved in the fight have however vowed to ensure culprits involved in the loss of public funds face the full force of the law.
Currently, there is an ongoing probe into possible loss of billions for the Sh21 billion Arror and Kimwarer dams in Elgeyo Marakwet county, in the North Rift.
