After several months in the cold following her suspension as the Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH), Dr Lily Koros has been appointed as the Cabinet Administrative Secretary at the Ministry of Health.
Just hours after a section of local media reported that Koros had been handed the CAS role, Hivisasa.com sought her comment but she was tight-lipped.
Koros could neither deny nor confirm the reports but insisted that "let me not comment on the matter now. I am not in a position to do so now."
The Ministry of Health as headed by CS Sicily Kariuki is run under two wing with the technical services being headed by the Director of Medical Services while the administrative roles are spearheaded by the Principal Secretary, Peter Tum.
Highly placed sources privy to Dr Koros' appointment disclosed to Hivisasa.com that she had indeed been appointed as the CAS at the Ministry of Health.
Koros will now work under the Health PS with her roles revolving around the general administrative duties in the ministry. These shall entail heading and overseeing activities in the finance, accounts and other departments.
