Private secondary schools are prefered by some parents for good performance in the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE).
Private schools have an upperhand in posting good performance compared to public secondary schools, some of which barely have proper infrastructure.
In the North Rift region, Segero Adventist National Academy which is located at Ziwa in Soy constituency Uasin Gishu county, it is the place to be.
The school has in the recent past been a strong competitor for other national schools countrywide.
In 2018 KCSE results, the school which is under Segero group of schools tied at position 13 nationally and was ranked the fourth best private school in the country, beating top private schools like Anestar boys in Nakuru.
Despite being a private school, the institution has been able to battle it out with top public academic giants from the Rift Valley region including Moi High School Eldoret and Kapsabet Boys' in Nandi County.
Last year's KCSE saw the school send almost all of it's registered candidates to the university through the direct entry by Kenya Universities and Colleges Placement Service (KUCCPS).
