Irene Mugo and Lydia Nyawira who work with Daily Nation and the Standard respectively were arrested for interviewing a man who was wearing an “anti-Ruto slogan – Kitaeleweka” branded T-shirt during Deputy President William Ruto’s Church service in the county. 

The two are currently behind bars at Mukurwe-ini police station. This incidence has elicited mixed reactions from Kenyans on Twitter. 

"Hatuna Deni, Kitaeleweka" is a song that was sung by a Kikuyu hitmaker, Kimani Wa Turacco. In his song, Kimani narrates that the Mt. Kenya people don't owe Deputy President William Ruto anything. 

The song stirred a heated debate about the Mt. Kenya support for DP Ruto's 2022 presidential bid. 

However, Kenyans have been divided once again after two journalists were arrested for speaking to a man wearing the anti-Ruto slogan branded T-shirt. Here are some of their reactions:
