A third-year University of Eldoret (UoE) student shocked his friends when he confessed how he narrowly escaped contracting HIV/AIDS from his girlfriend.
The student, who was equally in shock narrated to fellow comrades the events of that fateful night when he was to 'wrap' his girlfriend 'between the sheets' but mysteriously escaped the ordeal.
John (not his real name because of the sensitivity of the matter) said he convinced his long time girlfriend to spend a night at his place as to explore their inner feelings.
"On Tuesday, I tried to convinced my all time crush to spent a night at my home and she gladly accepted my request," revealed John.
The student alleges that on that evening, he luckily met the lady at Sitonik trading center on the outskirts of Eldoret town. They spent about two hours at the trading center as they waited for the dark to set in.
"We had to spent nearly two hours at the center as I wanted my parents to sleep so that I can take the lady to my room without their knowledge," he noted.
The events however took the unusual turn as his parents didn't sleep early on that day. He peeped several times to find out whether they were asleep or not only to realize they were still awake. At last, he gave up on the wait as it was already midnight.
"The following morning, I received a text message from the lady alleging that I should be thankful to my God as she is HIV positive and she only wanted to infect me with the deadly disease," revealed John, tears rolling down his cheeks.
Kim, who is John's close friend said that he indeed confirmed the message from the lady noting that he tried to call the lady but she had already switched off the phone.
"John spent the better part of the day crying, it is indeed horrible ordeal for someone you loved to have ruthless intentions," lamented Kim.
