Ms Waiguru who questioned the credibility of the poll said she will move to court to sue Ipsos for trying to taint her name.

In her defence, Ms Waiguru while addressing the media at Kagio town in Kirinyaga County on Wednesday said she has never been charged in a court of law for loss of public funds.

Governor Waiguru challenged IPSOS to take any evidence against her or any other leader to the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) instead of being used by other parties to advance an agenda.

“I will say this to IPSOS: Shame on you. Shame on you for pushing an agenda that you know very well is political. I have never been taken to court because of any matter regarding corruption. So you cannot come and say that I am the most corrupt. If they think they have any evidence on anyone on corruption. There is the DPP, they can take evidence there so that action can be taken instead of coming up with propaganda and saying it is Kenyans (opinion). Kenyans are not foolish,” she said.
