1. Jared Okello
The Nyando lawmaker is among the youngest leaders in the county.
He occupies a seat initially occupied by sitting Kisumu Senator Fred Outa.
Judging by his closeness to opposition leader Raila Odinga, the region's kingpin, he is likely to make an attempt to elevate himself in the 2022 polls.
Since the gubernatorial seat appears too big for him currently, he is most likely to go for the senatorial seat.
2. Fred Ouda
The youthful and controversial leader is the lawmaker for Kisumu Central constituency.
He rose to the seat after a term as the Central Gem Member of County Assembly in Siaya county.
He too is very likely to seek a higher seat in 2022 though he remains silent on his plans.
Ouda proved her political muscles when he moved from Siaya and went ahead to win the seat at the heart of the county at his first shot.
3. Fred Outa
He is the senator of the county and a close ally of County Director of Special Affairs and former Deputy Governor Ruth Odinga.
The two were in the run-up to the October 26, 2017 elections arraigned over allegedly storming an Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) clerk training session in Kisumu.
Should Odinga seek the gubernatorial seat in 2022, she is very likely to tip Outa as her running mate.
