Timothy Kiptoo, the affected students is now appealing to the Ministry of Education to intervene and help him find a boy's school.

"When I received the letter I was surprised because am a boy yet I received a girls school admission letter. I am humbly requesting the ministry to place me in a boy school," Kiptoo appealed.

According to his mother, the mix up has made it difficult for her to plan for his admission since she is not certain whether he will get a school or not.

She has tried reaching out to the Ministry and has been asked to wait.

The mother is worried by the fact that admission of Form One students is set to start on January 13, yet her son is yet to get a school.
