Orange Democratic Movement Director of Communications Philip Etale has questioned Deputy President William Ruto's van donation to the Kakamega County Bodaboda Sacco.
The DP, on Friday, donated the van which was officially handed over by former area Senator Boni Khalwale on Saturday.
Khalwale lauded the DP for the initiative which he termed a good project which will support members of the sacco economicaly.
"Today, to the delight of Bodaboda riders in Kakamega, I launched their first commercial vehicle. Thank you William Ruto for supporting the members of Kakamega County Bodaboda Sacco," Khalwale posted on his Twitter account.
However, Etale is now insinuating that the donation could have been a complete fraud, and the public might have been fooled into thinking that the van was handed over to the Sacco.
According to Etale, the vehicle is owned by one Stephen Wairiuko Kahuria as the information contained in a copy of ownership records (logbook) read.
Ruto's tour of the county also saw him receive Khalwale into the Jubilee Party after decamping from the Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula-led Ford Kenya Party.
He said that he needed a national party with which the Western Kenya region can realize its drew of being in government, dismissing Ford Kenya as a local and tribal party.
