Governor Alfred Mutua has revealed that he is seeking political partnership with like-minded parties ahead of the 2022 general election.
Mutua said he has reached out to some parties to endorse his presidential bid and work with him ahead of 2022 polls.
Speaking on Radio citizen on Friday, Mutua said he will work with parties or coalitions that are ready to support his bid.
Governor Mutua said Baringo Senator Gideon Moi’s KANU party is among those he might work within 2022.
“We as Maendeleo Chap Chap are open to anyone so long as they support my presidential bid,” Mutua said.
Mutua said he has met several top politicians among them, Gideon Moi, as he seeks partnership.
He said the country needs visionary leaders who will save it from the social, political and economic challenges it faces now.
Mutua said he has the political experience to contest the presidency and lead Kenyans.
He said his development track record speaks for itself exuding confidence that Kenyans will vote him in 2022.
The Machakos governor dismissed claims that he might deputize certain presidential aspirants in 2022.
“My eyes are on the presidency and those speculating that I will settle to be someone running mate are dreaming,” Mutua said.
There have been claims that Mutua is among those likely to be Deputy President William Ruto’s running mate in 2022.
Mutua has since estimated that his 20202 presidential campaigns will cost him Sh18 billion.
