Former Vice President Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka could not hide his joy after Harambee Stars beat Ethiopia 3:0 at the Kasarani Stadium in one of the thrilling matches witnessed in the Kenyan soil.

Kalonzo congratulated the team for showing a spirited fight that has now put Kenya at a good position to compete with other football giants across the African continent. 

The Ukambani political kingpin arrived at the Stadium clad in a red tracksuit ready to cheer his team.  Other prominent leaders who were also presented at the match included Deputy President William Ruto, Football Kenya Federation (FKF) President Nick Mwendwa and Sports Cabinet Secretary Rashid Echesa

“What an exciting match it was, congratulations are in order Harambee Stars; fantastic performance! 3-0 is not a mean achievement. God Bless Kenya,” Kalonzo wrote on Twitter. 

DP Ruto was also excited after the historic win when he shared a message to congratulate the team for fighting like warriors. 

He was seen on several occasions cheering the national team. Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko, who was also present, didn’t disappoint fans after offering 150 buses to transport them to the Stadium from Nairobi CBD area. 

Michael Olunga, Eric Johanna and Captain Victor Wanyama were on target as Kenyan thrashed Ethiopia to secure the much-needed win.
