Police have launched a manhunt for a deadly gang said to be terrorising civilians in Magarini North, Kilifi County.
Security stakeholders have noted that the gang members are behind the series of murder cases reported in the area.
Three murder cases were reported last week, with officers stating that the victims were brutally murdered. However, no suspects have been apprehended in connection to the killings.
According to police reports, members of the gang are also suspected to be behind the recent killings of elderly people in Kilifi County, as well as the robberies witnessed in various petrol stations in the region.
Speaking to Baraka FM on phone, Magarini North Security Chief Simon Lokorio said the same gang is also responsible for the killings that took place in Sabaki and Gongoni areas.
"Security agencies will use all means within their reach to deal with the gang members," said Lokorio.
Last week, two watchmen manning two different petrol stations owned by a businessman in the county were killed in Sabaki and Gongoni areas.
Police are still investigating the motive behind the killings. The officers are appealing to anyone who has information that could lead to the arrest of the gang members to report to the nearest police station.
