A Jubilee MP in Kisii County perceived to be a close ally to President Uhuru Kenyatta on Saturday inspected development projects in his constituency.
Nyaribari Chache MP Richard Tong'i development projects at Nyataro C.O.G Secondary School where he reiterated that lazy contractors will not benefit from construction tenders throughout his tenure.
"I am committed to scaling up development projects in all parts of our constituency. My political rivals should accord me humble time to serve my electorates before 2022," he said.
The vocal lawmaker said his political enemies will not win the hearts of the electorates by spreading propaganda over his leadership.
He maintained that local leaders must shun divisive and party politics for the purpose of preaching peace.
"NASA leader Raila Odinga dropped his hard stance and agreed to shake hands with President Uhuru Kenyatta. It is a challenge for local politicians to join hands with elected leaders to serve the electorates," said Tong'i.
Mr. Tong'i warned locals against falling into the tricks of desperate local political leaders who are out to incite them to cause mayhem.
He assured throughout his tenure he will work around the clock to ensure there is equal distribution of public resources.
