Nyamira County Governor John Nyagarama has been given a second chance to revive his lost relevance in politics, ex-Bonchari MP Protus Momanyi has said following Wednesday's Supreme Court ruling.
Mr Momanyi argued that Nyagarama should use the opportunity to win people's trust.
"Residents in Nyamira County have lost trust in Nyarama due to his sluggishness in leadership. Let him open up his mind and focus on development ," he said.
According to the ex-lawmaker, Nyagarama has ignored the electorates' interests for several years now.
"The Supreme court ruling which upheld Nyagarama's victory should be a new dawn in Nyamira. Residents expect the county government to ensure there are good roads, affordable health care, proper education but, not county workers embezzling public funds," he added.
He challenged Nyagarama to sack county workers engaging in dubious dealings with an aim of accumulating wealth.
"People close to Nyagarama stealing public money should be sent home. There is need for the county boss to go deep to villages to get the views from residents on the development projects which should be given a top priority," said Momanyi.
