Nark Kenya Party Leader Martha Karua seems to be one of the hotcake politicians now that the 2022 general election debate appears to be heating up.
Both Deputy President William Ruto and Amani National Congress (ANC) leader Musalia Mudavadi, all of whom are considered possible contestants have begun wooing her to their side.
This came out clearly as the party celebrated its 12th year of existence at a function in Nairobi, one that brought together political players and aides of top politicians from all quarters.
Mudavadi was represented by his associate Geoffrey Kanoti who delivered the former Deputy Prime Minister's message of goodwill, adding that ANC is open to partner with Karua on a possible coalition.
“Narc-Kenya leadership should consider discussions on possibilities of working with ANC in a coalition, and what this would mean for the country at this time and going forward,” he is quoted by the Nation.
On the other hand, Mr Geoffrey Kaituko who is the Social Sector Advisor in Ruto's office said that the DP is keen on including the former Justice Cabinet Minister in his team as he eyes the top seat.
“What I am saying is we are going to need different strategies for 2022, including working with Narc-Kenya,” Kaituko said.
On her side, Karua announced plans to delegate her party leadership position to a younger person after leading for the 12 years.
